Interview with John Roberts, a public school administrator, concerning his experiences during the desegregation of the Hamilton Park, Texas, School and the establishment of the Pacesetter program. Roberts discusses his educational background and the administrative positions he held, the federal desegregation guidelines, the establishment of attendance zones, the role of H.E.W., the closing of Hamilton Park High School, the decision of the Fifth Circuit Court, the controversy over busing, and the decision to establish Pacesetter at Hamilton Park.
